This guide will show you how to update your NFT collection's images by modifying the baseURI. Please note that only the creator of the collection can make these changes.
Important: Modifying the baseURI will change the visuals and attributes of your NFT. We highly recommend testing this process on the NFT Pump testnet (https://testnet.nftpump.meme/) before making any changes to your NFT collection.
Step 1: Organize your NFT images into a folder
Place all the images you wish to upload into a single folder.
Step 2: Open the "Change baseURI" page
Go to the details page of your NFT collection and click on "Change baseURI".
Step 3. Navigate to the BTFS storage
On the "Change baseURI" page, click the "Quick Storage via BTFS" button to access BTFS storage.
Step 4: Upload your images to BTFS
Once you reach the BTFS Finder page, click the "Upload File" button in the top right corner.
Step 5: Select the "Public Sharing" mode
From the available options, select "Public Sharing".
Step 6: Upload the entire folder
Click "Switch to Folder Uploading" and select the folder containing all your NFT images to begin the upload.
Step 7: Retrieve the link to your uploaded folder
Once the upload is complete, click on "Me" at the top right corner of the BTFS Finder page to find the uploaded folder.
Step 8: Copy the folder link
Click the more options button at the top right corner of the folder and select "Copy Link".
Step 9: Format the link properly
Go back to the "Change baseURI" page and paste the folder link into the baseURI input field.
- Important: Remove the " ?" and everything after it from the link, then add a "/" at the end.
- Example:Original Link: https://gateway.btfs.io/btfs/QmRHaTQXQXBAtHuu1MNGQ4TjZdKdT4bvVbKGooet5A9ynv?filename=NFT Folder
- Formatted Link:https://gateway.btfs.io/btfs/QmRHaTQXQXBAtHuu1MNGQ4TjZdKdT4bvVbKGooet5A9ynv/
Step 10: Submit and confirm the change
After pasting the formatted link, click "Submit" and authorize the action in your wallet.
Note: Once the baseURI modification is successful, the NFT images in your collection will update automatically. The update may take between 10 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of your collection.
